Andrea Naaman Daves of Hernando announces the engagement and forthcoming wedding of her daughter, Brittney Lynne Daves, to Pierce Marion Whittington.
The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Gary K. Daves. She is the granddaughter of Louis Joseph Naaman Jr. of Greenwood, James Coleman Daves of Holcomb, Sarah Ann Daves of Jackson and the late Omizelle Tullos Smith.
Miss Daves is a 2007 graduate of Pillow Academy and a 2011 cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University, where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
She is employed as the director of business operations at Promatura Group LLC in Oxford.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Markel Whittington of Tupelo.
He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Emory Murray Givens and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hansford Whittington Sr.
Mr. Whittington is a 2004 graduate of Tupelo High School and a 2011 graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy. He is employed as an account manager at Next Gear Solutions in Oxford.
The couple will exchange vows at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 4 at Cypress Woods Place in Taylor. The Honorable Kevin Andrew Adams will officiate. A reception will follow at Cypress Woods Place.
