Christi Muirhead of Greenwood announces the engagement and forthcoming marriage of her daughter, Channing Roxanne Clausel of Greenwood, to Joshua Ford McPherson of Inverness.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Preston Arrington of Inverness and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Russell McPherson of Leland.
He is the grandson of Henrietta McCay of Canton and Sarah Swanzy of Greenwood and the late Don McPherson of Greenwood.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Horne of Rayville, La., formerly of Schlater.
Miss Clausel is a 2006 graduate of Pillow Academy. She did her undergraduate study at Delta State University and Mississippi Delta Community College.
She will graduate in July 2010 from Mississippi Delta Community College, where she will receive a degree in nursing.
The bride-elect is employed by Indianola Family Medical.
She is a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority.
Mr. McPherson is a 2007 graduate of Indianola Academy.
He will graduate in December 2011 from Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
He is a member of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity.
The couple will exchange vows in July 2011.
