Mr. and Mrs. David Eugene Clark of Greenwood announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Clark of Nashville, Tenn., to Christopher Allen McNeill of Huntsville, Ala.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William David McNeill of Cabot, Ark.
He is the grandson of Mrs. Lonnie McCall of Ward, Ark., and the late Mr. McCall, and L.C. McNeill of Alexander, Ark., and Onie McNeill, of North Little Rock, Ark.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Sam Vernon, formerly of Greenwood; the late Helene Vernon, formerly of Bay St. Louis; the late Gene Clark, formerly of Greenwood; and the late Louise Clark, formerly of Greenwood.
Miss Clark is a 2004 graduate of Pillow Academy and a 2008 graduate of the University of Mississippi, where she earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science.
She is earning her doctorate in physical therapy at Belmont University. She will graduate in August 2011.
Mr. McNeill is a 2001 graduate of Cabot High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, where he earned a bachelor's degree in physics. He is a 2008 graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he earned his master's degree in physics.
He is employed as an engineer at NTA Inc., in Huntsville, Ala.
The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. Dec. 18, 2010, at Carrollton United Methodist Church.
