Ashton Elizabeth Castle and Cameron James Costa were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 11, 2018, at Rosegate Garden in Florence. Dr. Jim Phillips of North Greenwood Baptist Church officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Lamar Castle of Swiftown. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Favara III of Greenwood and Mary Castle of Indianola and the late Mr. H.L. Castle.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Franklin Costa III of Birmingham, Alabama. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Ferdin of Alberta, Alabama, and Mr. and Mrs. James Franklin Costa II of Birmingham.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory embroidered lace gown, which featured a V-neckline with off-the-shoulder lace straps with buttons down the back and a chapel-length train.
Attending the bride were maids of honor Sarah Grace Castle, sister of the bride, and Ashley Henderson, her best friend, of New Orleans.
Bridesmaids were Sophia Costa, sister of the groom; Katlyn Southern; Bethany Taylor; Hannah Speights; Lanae Webb; and Victoria Peloquin.
The bridesmaids wore apricot sleeveless dresses featuring a sweetheart neckline.
Attending the groom as best man was his brother, Dominic Costa. Groomsmen were Alston Bozeman, David Franklin, Carter Caldwell, Will Earnhart and Zachary Thorson.
Flower girls were Emma Layne and Mary Parish Castle, cousins of the bride.
Ring bearers were Jasper and Thomas Dale Castle, also cousins of the bride.
Michelle McConnell of Foley, Alabama, served as wedding coordinator, providing music, photography, flowers and food.
Following the ceremony, Dr. Phillips presented the couple with a unity cross, which signified the wedding covenant. It is a lasting reminder of the bride and groom coming together with their faith in Christ, beginning their lifelong journey as one.
After the ceremony, dining and dancing were enjoyed at Rosegate Garden.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Amerigo’s Restaurant in Flowood.
After a Bahamas honeymoon cruise, the couple is at home in Flowood.
