Tony and Christi Carpenter of Abbeville announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Caitlan Cole Carpenter, to Justin Thomas Shoffner of Taylor.
The prospective bride-groom is the son of Sidney and Dawn Shoffner of Taylor.
He is the grandson of Myra Mae Shoffner of Oxford and the late Mary Kathryn Hudson.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of David and Barbara Johnson of Batesville and Franklin Acy of Brandon and Bobby and Charlotte Carpenter of Oxford.
Miss Carpenter is a graduate of Oxford High School and is attending Northwest Mississippi Community College.
Mr. Shoffner is a graduate of Lafayette High School and is attending Northwest Mississippi Community College.
The couple will exchange vows at 5 p.m. March 9 at Fort Morgan, Ala. The service will be officiated by Pastor John Price of First Baptist Church in Orange Beach, Ala. The maid of honor will be Laura Leigh Lehner, and Kara Lee Shoffner will be a bridesmaid.
The best man will be Andrew Vance Ragon, and James Edward Ragon III will be a groomsman.
A reception will follow after the ceremony.
After a honeymoon cruise to Key West, Fla., and the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Taylor.
