Betty Brown has announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of her daughter, Mattie Ra'Monda Brown of McClain, to Nathaniel Marcus Edward Clay of McCarley.
Miss Brown also is the daughter of the late Raymond Brown.
Mr. Clay is the son of Bruce and Bertha Clay.
The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of the Mississippi School of Math and Science in Columbus. She will be graduating from Grinnell College in Iowa with a bachelor's degree in physics this month.

The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. May 19, 2008, in Grinnell, Iowa.
