Mr. and Mrs. O.C. Brewer of Greenwood have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Frances Clair Brewer of Greenwood, to Daniel Ray Jenkins, also of Greenwood.
Mr. Jenkins is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Ray Jenkins of Greenwood.
He is the grandson of Mrs. John Jenkins of Greenwood and the late Mr. Jenkins, Ms. Frances Willard of Nebraska and Ms. Jessie Ross.
Miss Brewer is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.D. Brewer of Hernando and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim Harden of Greenwood.
The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Pillow Academy. She is a 2008 summa cum laude graduate of Delta State University, and currently is pursuing a master's degree in accounting at Delta State University. She is a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa and Delta Mu Delta Honor Societies and the Student Accountants and Business Administrators Club.
She is employed at Taylor, Powell, Wilson and Hartford P.A. Certified Public Accountants.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of Carroll Academy. He attended Mississippi Delta Community College.
He is employed at Ayers Delta Implement.
The couple will exchange vows at 3 p.m. Aug. 9, 2008, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Greenwood.
Father Thomas Delaney and the Rev. Gary Tanner will officiate.
