Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Ray Brasel Sr. of Itta Bena are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Mindy Greer Brasel, to Richard Eli Belk.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Richard Wayne Belk of Boyle and the late Wanda Marie (Bills) Belk.
He is the grandson of Mrs. Visia Louisiana (Ludie) Belk and the late Mr. Barney Hubert (Jackie) Belk of Doddsville and Mr. and Mrs. William Ade Bills of Ruleville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Sue Brasel of Itta Bena and the late Jimmie D. Brasel Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Billy H. Gregg Sr. of Carrollton.
She is a 2004 graduate of Pillow Academy and a 2007 graduate of Mississippi Delta Community College, where she received certification in the medical laboratory technician program.
She is employed at North Sunflower Rural Health Clinic in affiliation with the North Sunflower Medical Center in Ruleville.
The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate of Bayou Academy and a 2008 graduate of Mississippi Delta Community College, where he earned a degree in business management.
He is employed at Bills Tire and Alignment Shop in Ruleville.
The couple will exchange vows at 4:30 p.m. April 9, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Itta Bena.
Bro. Higdon Herrington will officiate at the ceremony.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
A reception will be held in the church gymnasium immediately following the ceremony.
