Mr. and Mrs. Carl Philip Bernet III of Katy, Texas, announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Rebecca “Becca” Halie of St. Charles, Mo., to Dale Robert Huffine of St. Charles.
The prospective bridegroom is the soon of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Huffine of Osage Beach, Mo.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Bagley of Riverside, Calif., and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Huffine of Las Vegas.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Melvin Crowder Puls of Columbus and the late Robert Herman Crowder and Dr. and Mrs. Carl Philip Bernet Jr. of Greenwood.
She is a 2006 graduate of Cinco Ranch High School in Katy, Texas. She will graduate from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo., in December 2010.
At Lindenwood, Miss Crowder was an All-American Scholar Athlete for three years. She is a member of Lindenwood Lady Lion’s national championship ice hockey team, where she was voted All-American goaltender for three years.
Mr. Huffine is a 2005 graduate of the School of Osage in Osage Beach, Mo. He attends Lindenwood University, where he will graduate in December 2010.
He was a member of the Lindenwood Lions men’s football team for two years.
The couple will exchange vows on the evening of May 23, 2010, at Ashton Gardens in Houston, Texas.
