Mr. and Mrs. Roy Avant of McCarley announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Brittany Shae Larkin Avant, to Ryan Jones Ricks of McCarley.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jarrett of Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy S. Ricks of Carrollton.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Jones of Carrollton and Mr. and Mrs. James E. Ricks of Carrollton.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of late Mr. and Mrs. Augustus Petty and the late Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Avant.
Miss Avant is a 2007 graduate of Carroll Academy and a 2013 graduate of Mississippi Delta Community College. She is employed at Grenada Lake Medical Center.
Mr. Ricks is 2006 graduate of Carroll Academy and a 2007 graduate of Mississippi Delta Community College. He is employed at Ensign United States Drilling.
The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. June 8 at Christ Baptist Church.
