Mr. and Mrs. Robert David Abrusley Sr. of Oakdale, La., announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Leah Marilyn Abrusley, to Joseph Abraham Rustom of Greenwood.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ibrahim Rustom of Greenwood.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Youssef Rustom of Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. Abdo Rustom of Jacksonville, Fla.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marilyn Karam of Oakdale and the late Jack Karam and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Abrusley Sr. of Oakdale.
Miss Abrusley is a 2005 graduate of Oakdale High School and a 2009 graduate of Louisiana State University, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She employed as a fifth-grade teacher at Cedarcrest-Southmoor Elementary School in Baton Rouge.
Mr. Rustom is a 2006 graduate of Pillow Academy and a 2010 graduate of Delta State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He is attending the University of Tennessee’s College of Dentistry in Memphis, where he will graduate in May 2014.
The couple will exchange vows June 8 at a nuptial mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oakdale. After marriage, the couple will reside in Memphis.
