Jennifer Nester of Carrollton announces the engagement and upcoming marriage of her daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Myrick Nester, to Austin Tyler Ferguson of Carrollton.
The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Wayne Nester.
She is the granddaughter of Charles and Karen Myrick of Milton, Florida, and Janice Nester of Carrollton and the late Larry Nester.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Jennifer and Doug Goss of Carrollton and Austin Ferguson of Vaiden.
He is the grandson of the late Carlene and Larry Smith and Keith Ferguson of Vaiden and the late Stefany Ferguson.
Miss Nester is a 2020 graduate of J.Z. George High School, where she was an honor student and was involved in cheerleading, softball, HOSA and Beta Club. She is employed at Quick Care Pharmacy in Grenada.
Mr. Ferguson is a 2020 graduate of J.Z. George High School, where he played football. He is a recent graduate of Lincoln Tech in Nashville, Tennessee, where he studied diesel mechanics.
The couple will exchange vows at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7, at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Carrollton. The Rev. Steve Livingston will officiate. A reception will follow at Seldom Seen Farm in Carrollton at 6 p.m.
Friends and relatives of the couple are invited.
