Those attending Pillow Academy’s upcoming senior play are sure to have a howlin’-good time.
“You Ain’t Nothin’ But a Werewolf,” written by Tim Kelly, will be performed at 2 p.m. on Sunday and 6 p.m. on Monday in the Craig Performing Arts Center on the Pillow campus.
Admission is $8, and the proceeds will benefit the Sandifer Memorial Library at Pillow Elementary School.

Cissye Gallagher, who is directing the play, said the students decided how the profits would be used.
“This play is how the senior class gives back,” she said.
Dot Miller, the elementary school librarian, said it made her smile really big when she found out that the seniors wanted to give back to the Sandifer Memorial Library.
“Doing this for our library means a lot, and it’s such an honor that they came to us,” said Miller. “I think it’s very kind and thoughtful of them to think of us.”
Miller, who used to be a third-grade teacher, taught many of the seniors when they were in elementary school.
“This is really a great group of young men and young women,” she said. “It’s really an exceptional group of kids. They all have great big hearts.”
“You Ain’t Nothin’ But a Werewolf” is a musical spoof in two acts set in the 1950s when there were motorcycle movies and rock ’n’ roll movies and, most importantly, teenage horror films.
Gallagher said “You Ain’t Nothin’ But a Werewolf” has been performed at Pillow before, almost 25 years ago.
“It was a big success then,” she said. “We decided to bring it back.”
Gallagher said some of the parents of the current seniors were in the play when it was last performed.
“It’s a really fun play,” she said.
All 39 seniors are involved with the production, and Sela Ricketts is serving as student director.
“It’s a big play, and they’ve had to do a lot of work. Some are playing multiple roles,” said Gallagher.
Miller said she hopes everyone will come out not only to support the library but also to support the seniors.
“They’ve worked so hard on the play, and I hope everyone will support them and who they are and what they’ve done,” she said. “I’m really proud of them.”
