MOORHEAD — Magdalene Abraham of Greenwood will address dozens of Mississippi Delta Community College health science majors at their commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the J.T. Hall Coliseum in Moorhead.
The graduation and pinning ceremony will honor the college’s dental hygiene, radiologic technology and associate degree nursing graduates.
Abraham joined MDCC in 1981 as an instructor in the science department. She advanced to the position of chair of the science department and was named dean of academic affairs in 2001. She became vice president of instruction in 2004 until her retirement in 2014.
MDCC’s Health Science Division is comprised of associate degree nursing, dental hygiene technology, medical laboratory technology, radiologic technology, practical nursing, emergency medical technician, health care assistant and phlebotomy.
