Three of the Delta Rockers will perform in a fundraising production, “New York to Nashville.”
The event will be held Sunday at the Pittman Family Life Center in Picayune, located at 498 North Haugh Ave.
Admission is $10 and includes a buffet of pastries and beverages.
The proceeds will go toward the Ms. Senior Mississippi Pageant, which is presented by the Mississippi Cameo Club.
Delta Rockers Carolyn Mitchell, Director Betty Aden and Josie Browning will be performing.
Aden is the 2013 Ms. Senior Mississippi and is also encouraging Greenwood women to participate in the upcoming pageant.
The Mississippi Senior America competition will be held in Picayune on July 11 at the Pittman Family Life Center. The public can attend, and there is a $5 admission fee that can be paid at the door.
The crowned winner will advance to the national competition, which is held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in October.
Each contestant will be interviewed by the judges and will present in 35 seconds her “Philosophy of Life.” There is also a talent section and an evening gown competition.
In the talent competition, contestants can perform a variety of acts, including singing, dancing, dramatic or humorous readings, art work, musical instruments and more.
