You know that saying, “When it rains, it pours.” It’s true.
We’ve got a very unique triple-header of Business After Hours coming up over the course of the next three weeks, so mark your calendars and hang on!
First, we’ll join ArtPlace Mississippi this Thursday from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. ArtPlace Mississippi is located at 212 W. Washington St. in downtown Greenwood. Its people have been doing some amazing work in the community with art classes and music and their work with area students.
You’ll definitely want to join us as we check out their facility and see all the wonderful and creative things they’ve been teaching to these students over the past year or so. I think they’re planning some adult classes in the future as well, so be sure to come by and check them out.
On the same night, but starting at 6 p.m., our Greenwood-Leflore Young Professionals will host their annual crawfish boil and membership drive at the park between the downtown bridges.
So, after you leave ArtPlace, be sure to drop by there and visit. They are asking for donations to give to Delta Streets, so if you enjoy some crawfish, be sure to throw a little something in the pot.
And, if you are between the ages of 21 and 40, be sure to inquire about membership into GLYP. They are always looking for more young members who are ready to get active in the community.
Then, on May 19, we’ll be over at Malouf Furniture on U.S. 82 for its Business After Hours from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Malouf’s is introducing a new gallery that it wants to show off, and browsing through its beautiful store is always inspiring for home furnishings and décor. Who knows, you may just be in the mood to leave with some new furniture! We hope you'll make plans to join us for that event.
And, last but not least, we’ll join Magnolia Home Center on May 28 at its new location on Grand Boulevard to mix and mingle from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
We held a ribbon-cutting back in April, and we had such a fantastic turnout. This is another great location that you can browse, look around and get inspired to want to do some home improvement projects! The new space is fabulous, and you really need to come and check it out.
