Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy Smith of Schlater have announced the birth of their daughter, Sarah Kathryn Smith, who was born Nov. 29, 2007, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 12.9 ounces, and was 20 1/2 inches long.
Her maternal grandparents are Fred and Lynda Lester of Greenwood and Edward Groves of Schlater.
Her paternal grandparents are Tommy and Susan Smith of Belzoni.
Her maternal great-grandparents are the late Bill and Esther Thiele and the late Frank and Sarah Groves.
Her paternal great-grandparents are J.E. Causey and the late Lenora Causey, Maxine Smith and Percy Smith, all of Belzoni.
Also welcoming Sarah Kathryn home is her sister, Kayla, 10.
Mrs. Smith is the former Brandy Groves of Greenwood.
