Alinda Guynes and Sumpter McGowin announce the birth of their daughter, Margaret Allen McGowin, on Aug. 22, 2013, at 4:22 p.m. at Methodist LeBonheur Germantown Hospital in Memphis. She weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces and was 20 inches long.
Her maternal grandparents are Margaret and Meredith Allen of Greenwood.
Her paternal grandparents are Lucy and Jim McGowin of Greenville, Ala.
Welcoming Allen home is her brother, Beeland, 2.
Dr. McGowin is the former Alinda Guynes Allen of Greenwood.
