Katrina Carpenter and Shawn May, both of Greenwood, announce the birth of their daughter, Makayla Danielle May, who was born July 26, 2008, at University Medical Center in Jackson. She weighed 3 pounds, 8 ounces, and was 15 1/4 inches long.
Her maternal grandparents are Doug and Tammy Carpenter of Greenwood.
Her paternal grandparents are Carlean May of Greenwood and the late Felix May.
Her maternal great-grandparents are Sonny and Sally Carpenter of Willis, Texas, and R.A. and Betty McClain of Laurel.
Her paternal great-grandmother is Annie May of Greenwood.
Also welcoming Makayla home is her brother, Shawn Andrew May II, 16.
