His paternal grandparents are Joey Brooks of Greenwood and Michie Linn Bernardy of Carrollton.
His maternal great-grandparents are the late Mary and Earl Johnson of Greenwood and the late Golden and Carrol Brown of Stewart.
His paternal great-grandparents are Beth Brownlow of Carrollton and the late J.E. Brownlow and Kelly Brooks of Greenwood and the late Maxine Brooks.
Also welcoming Lawson home are his sister, Kaela Taylor, and his brother, Austin Taylor.
Mrs. Brooks is the former Elizabeth Brown of Greenwood.
