Scott and Carol Southerland of Hoover, Ala., announce the arrival of their daughter, Catherine Elizabeth Southerland, on Oct. 20, 2011, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, Ala. She weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces, and was 19½ inches long.
Her maternal grandparents are Dean and Catherine Kidd of Greenwood.
Her maternal great-grandparents are Garland and Sara Kidd of Southaven and the late Archie and Carol Sterling.
Her paternal grandparents are Don and Linda Southerland of Hoover.
Her paternal great-grandparents are Jean Hampton of Opelika, Ala., and the late Rudolph Hampton, and the late Dee and Elizabeth Southerland.
Mrs. Southerland is the former Carol Sterling Kidd of Greenwood.
