Mr. and Mrs. Mark Floyd of Nashville, Tenn., announce the birth of their daughter, Carter Kinsley Floyd, who was born April 4, 2008, at the Women's Center at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. She weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and was 19 inches long.
Her maternal grandparents are Alan and Lela Carter of Greenwood and Lucy Roberts of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Her paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Floyd of Jackson, Tenn.
Her maternal great-grandparents are Mrs. Mike Carter Sr. of Greenwood and the late Mr. Carter and Mrs. Anne Byrn Roberts of Nashville and the late Mr. Roberts.
Also welcoming Carter home are her brothers and sister, Jackson, Elizabeth and Alex Floyd.
Mrs. Floyd is the former Anne Byrn Carter.
