Mr. and Mrs. Robert "Robbie" Noles Mattox of Madison announce the birth of their son, Axel Voss Mattox, who was born Oct. 6, 2008, at Baptist Hospital's The Birthplace in Jackson.
His maternal grandparents are Delphine V. Prestridge of Natchez and Davis T. Prestridge of Lafayette, La.
His paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. James "Jim" C. Mattox of Greenwood.
His maternal great-grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Axel Voss, the late Mr. and Mrs. Davis T. Prestridge Sr. and the late Mrs. Johnnie Hairist, all of Natchez.
His paternal great-grandparents are Sue N. Noles of Greenwood and the late Bob G. Noles, Mr. and Mrs. James E. Mattox of Tupelo and the late Lucille Mattox.
Also welcoming Axel Voss home is his brother, Noah Noles Mattox, 15 months.
Mrs. Mattox is the former Amy Voss Prestridge of Natchez.
