Mr. and Mrs. Gene Earl Johnson of Minter City announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Karmen Deanna Johnson, to Robert Lee Collins Jr. of Greenwood.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Robert Lee Collins Sr. and Everlernn Collins of Greenwood. He is the grandson of Claudia Collins of Kansas City, Missouri.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Rachel Ann Marble of Minter City, the late Willie James Marble and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sam Johnson.
Miss Johnson is a graduate of Amanda Elzy High School and a graduate of Delta State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in family and consumer sciences with a concentration in nutrition. She is employed as a WIC nutritionist with the Mississippi State Department of Health and also as a certified pharmacy technician at Walmart.
Mr. Collins is a graduate of Amanda Elzy High School and Alcorn State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural economics.
The couple will exchange vows at 4 p.m. on March 19 at the Leflore County Civic Center. The Rev. Dr. Kerrick Nevels will officiate. The reception will follow at the same location. Family and friends are invited.
