The Carroll County Sheriff’s Department has charged a 41-year-old Greenwood man in connection with an investigation into a narcotics pipeline funneling various drugs into the Carrollton and North Carrollton areas.
Freddie Sibley was arrested Friday during what the Sheriff’s Department described as a traffic stop on U.S. 82 near Valley Hill.
He has been charged with trafficking ecstasy pills, felony possession of hydrocodone pills, felony possession of a weapon, possession of methamphetamine, possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, the Sheriff’s Department said in a press release.
Sheriff Clint Walker did not provide other details Monday regarding the investigation other than to say that it had been going on for months prior to Sibley’s arrest.
Sibley remained behind bars at the Carroll-Montgomery County Regional Correctional Facility in Vaiden as of Monday. His bond was set at $60,000.
