The trees produce seeds that are about an inch wide and look like balls. They, however, are different from sweetgum balls, which are covered with long hard spines. However, one internet source says that sycamore seeds float and can temporarily be used as fishing bobber.

The Ms. Senior World Pageant was held in Biloxi.

These queens build homes for veterans, advocate for caregivers, fight for health and wellness and work to bring hope to those who need it most.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.
