Several voter-related activities are available at the Leflore County Circuit Clerk’s Office. First, sample ballots, like this one held by Deputy Circuit Clerk Renolda Hart, are available to anyone. Voter registration is ongoing at the clerk’s office, but the last day to register and then vote in the Nov. 5 general election is Oct. 7. Voters also can register by mail, but the envelope must be postmarked by Oct. 7. Voting by absentee ballot has begun. This can be accomplished in person at the clerk’s office or by mail. To obtain a mail-in ballot, call the clerk’s office at 662-453-1435, or 662-453-1041. Registered voters will be mailed their applications. After a voter returns the application by mail, the voter will be mailed a ballot. To be counted, the completed ballot must be mailed to the clerk’s office and must be postmarked on or before the election date, which is Nov. 5. For more information, access www.sos.ms.gov.
