Special election for Senate seat set Nov. 4

A special election to determine District 24’s next senator has been set for Nov. 4.
Former state Sen. David Jordan, who held that seat for three decades, has retired effective June 30.
Gov. Tate Reeves issued the special election order on Monday. The qualifying deadline is Aug. 21.
