The Mississippi Legislature erred by passing House Bill 1523. Gov. Phil Bryant compounded the error by signing the bill.
Now, the question is whether the state’s Republican leadership will add to those errors by refusing to repeal the law, which seems to condone discrimination against same-sex couples, before it takes effect.
