The former principal of a Clarksdale elementary school said it was prayer, not cheating, that produced that school’s miraculous turnaround on state tests.
Even in a faith-filled state such as Mississippi, that claim wasn’t believable — especially when that supposed miracle vanished when those students advanced to another school.
