It was an easy decision for Gov. Phil Bryant and the Mississippi Legislature to order better oversight of money and property seized by law enforcement agencies.
The governor this week signed a bill requiring the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics to operate a public website listing all forfeitures made through civil courts in the state.
