Mississippi got an early taste this week of winter, with night-time temperatures dropping to near freezing.
It caused a rush to bring in or cover vulnerable outdoor plants, switch from air conditioning to heat, and pull out the sweaters and stocking hats.
Thankfully it was just a brief drop.
