Here’s a troubling trend that’s been going on for the past decade: Enrollment in Mississippi public schools is in decline.
For 10 straight years, there have been fewer students enrolled in the public schools than were enrolled the year before. The cumulative loss has been almost 54,000 students, or 11%.
