Everyone loves a parade, and nobody loves a party pooper. Despite the risk of being called the latter, Greenwood Mayor Carolyn McAdams has made the right call by banning the throwing of candy by parade participants to the spectators.
As with many traditions, the candy-tossing has gotten out of control, creating both a hazard and a mess.
