During the COVID-19 pandemic, many Americans used the federal government’s relief payments to pay down their credit card debt.
With the pandemic and windfalls over, too many are returning to their old ways. According to the latest government data, credit card debit reached a record $1.05 trillion last year.
So much for being thrifty.
