A bill in the Mississippi Senate proposes to require completed absentee ballots to be delivered by Election Day, not just postmarked, in order to be counted.
It would be a good change, as evidenced by the problems with absentee ballots in Leflore County last year that have resulted in new elections being ordered for two contests.
