Chronic absenteeism has been a major concern for the Greenwood Leflore Consolidated District, along with just about every other district in the Delta. During the 2024-2025 school year, the district rate was 26.1%, meaning that around 1,000 students were absent at least 10% of the school year. Carroll County was also at 35.5%.
