Mr. and Mrs. John Edward Eberhard of Midland, Texas, announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Rachel Laura Eberhard, to James Brewer Upshaw of Dallas, Texas.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stephen Upshaw of Greenwood.
He is the grandson of Kathryn Brewer Black of Oxford, Mickey Leroy Black of Greenwood and the late James Edwin Upshaw.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Carmel Eberhard of Bryan, Texas, and the late Edward Eberhard and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Duco Jr.
Miss Eberhard is a 2014 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. While at Southern, she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She is employed by Medical City Dallas Hospital as a registered nurse.
Mr. Upshaw is a 2013 graduate of Mississippi State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. While at State, he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He is employed by Gemaire Distributors as a Territory Manager in Dallas.
The couple will exchange vows on Oct. 1 at the New Orleans Board of Trade in New Orleans.
