Craft is asking for greater awareness about safely storing guns and ammunition, especially after a 3-year-old accidentally shot himself earlier this year with an unsecured firearm.

Chief: Kids’ access to guns is increasing

On Thursday afternoon, Greenwood police received a call from a concerned citizen who said two children had been seen playing with and shooting firearms.

Crime tip line added at Delta Correctional

Delta Correctional Facility now has a Crimestoppers tip line.
Jody Bradley, chief administrator for Greenwood Police Department and the local Crimestoppers coordinator, told the Greenwood City Council on Tuesday that inmates will now be allowed to anonymously submit information on potential crimes or active investigations.
