On Aug. 6 at around 10:26 p.m., an officer pulled over a vehicle with a headlight out. The officer found the driver had a warrant for simple domestic violence and transported the driver to the Leflore County Jail.

Moore’s appeal of DUI conviction to be heard

When Leflore County Supervisor Reginald Moore appears in County Court next week to appeal a DUI conviction, the case will be tried de novo.
This means that it will be tried afresh, which is common in County Court appeals. The appeal is scheduled for 1 p.m. Aug. 14 in the Banks Justice Center on Baldwin Road.

Woman given 6-year sentence for stabbing
