A second man has been charged in a shooting on U.S. 82 last month that left one dead and another injured.
Police Chief Terrence Craft said Cordarrius Harvey, 22, 810 Ave. D, was being held Wednesday in the Leflore County Jail. Harvey has been charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of aggravated assault.
Harvey joins Taighe Stewart as suspects in the shooting death of Terry Randle Jr. on July 23. Stewart was arrested Monday and also was charged with murder and aggravated assault. Craft said bond had not been set for either man.
Randle, 18, was driving east on U.S. 82 with his brother, Jacori Randle, 23, when someone in another eastbound vehicle began firing at the brothers.
One witness said an estimated 50 to 60 bullets were fired into the Randle brothers’ vehicle. Terry Randle suffered three gunshot wounds, including one to the head, and died at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
The shooting was the seventh homicide in Leflore County this year and the fifth by firearm, according to reporting by the Commonwealth.
