A 19-year-old Greenwood man has been charged in connection with multiple burglaries this week.
Police Chief Terrence Craft said Jonathan Tyler Kent, 513 W. Park Ave., Apt. 15, was charged Friday with five counts of commercial burglary and three counts of auto burglary.
He also is charged with burglarizing an unoccupied dwelling.
Kent remained in the Leflore County Jail on Friday. Bond was set at $65,000.
Craft said two juveniles arrested in connection with the burglaries have been turned over to the Leflore County Youth Court.
An additional adult arrested in connection with the burglaries has been released with no charges, he said.
Starting on Sunday, numerous vehicles and businesses were burglarized, including The Crawfish Hut, What’s Cooking?, Mane Tamers and Delta Clouds Vapor, located on West Park or nearby.
A number of burglarized vehicles were located on Liddell Street.
