A Greenwood woman has been arrested and charged with murder in the stabbing death of a 51-year-old man on Wednesday morning.
Nequaisha Lawrence, 45, 108 E. Percy St., was being held in the Leflore County Jail on Wednesday.
She is accused of killing Joachima “Joe” Ross, also of Greenwood.
Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders reported Ross died from a stab wound, but she wasn’t sure how many he had suffered. She was called to the scene at 2:45 a.m.
Police Chief Terrence Craft said Lawrence and Ross had some sort of relationship but wasn’t sure of the extent of it.
He said Lawrence was identified as the suspect through witnesses at the scene.
