Three victims were injured in two separate shootings this weekend on Crestview Circle.
Greenwood Police Chief Terrence Craft said the shootings, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, are connected.
The first shooting took place at about 5:40 p.m. Saturday, he said.
The chief said drivers of a black Ford Mustang and a black Chevrolet Tahoe were identified as shooting at one another. A male 15-year-old was shot in the shoulder. Craft said he wasn’t sure whether the teen was an intended target. He was transported to Greenwood Leflore Hospital.
On Sunday, another drive-by shooting took place at about 2:15 p.m.
Craft said officers found two males, one 19 years old and the other 16. Each had suffered a gunshot wound to a leg. They were also taken to Greenwood Leflore Hospital.
The 15-year-old and the 19-year-old were released from the hospital later. The 16-year-old remained Monday and was in good condition, according to Christine Hemphill, a hospital spokesperson.
Craft said two persons of interest were arrested in connection with the shootings but neither had been charged by Monday afternoon.
