Settlement: $575K to Express Grain owner

The owner of Express Grain Terminals LLC has come to an agreement with the company’s bankruptcy estate that will pay him a portion of the company’s remaining funds, pending court approval.
The two sides have agreed to pay Dr. Michael Coleman, a Greenwood ophthalmologist and founder of the Coleman Eye Clinic, a total of $575,000.

Viking CFO set to retire

After just over 29 years at Viking Range LLC, Jane Moss has decided to retire.
Moss, 58, will officially wrap up her duties as the company’s chief financial officer on Friday.
She started at the company in 1994 as an accounting manager.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
