Mr. and Mrs. Hartley Carver of Cordova, Tenn., announce the birth of their son, Jacob Hartley Carver, who was born June 2, 2008, at Methodist-Le Bonheur Hospital in Germantown, Tenn. He weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 21 1/2 inches long.
His maternal grandmother is Susan Johnson of Kansas City, Kan.
