Services for Thelma McCann, 80, of Greenwood, who died of heart failure Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, at her home, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home.
Mrs. McCann was a retired teacher. She taught in the Greenwood Public Schools for 16 years. She was a member of North Greenwood Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Faith Sunday School class, and had been a previous teacher of this class.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George S. and Margie Campbell Barnes.
She is survived by her husband, Hilton Noah McCann of Greenwood; one daughter, Connie Taravella of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one son, Randy McCann and wife, Debbie McCann of Orlando, Fla.; one sister, Berdie Allen of Shreveport, La.; and two grandchildren, Leah McCann and Mathew McCann, both of Orlando, Fla.
Dr. Jim Phillips and the Rev. Bob Hatzfeld will officiate at the services.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Ables, Knox James, Lee Woodard, Roy Garrett, Tommie Reifer, George Ricks and Shelton Allen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Don Martin, Clavis Thornton, Sam McCook, Red Hitchins and David Pitts.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 this evening at the funeral home.
