TCHULA - Deputy Police Chief Charles Washington said his department is still investigating a Sunday morning fight that left two men wounded.
"We haven't been able to interview anyone yet," said Washington, when contacted this morning at his home.
Both men were taken to University Hospital in Lexington.
Condition reports on each man were not available this morning.
Washington - who is stepping down as deputy chief at the end of January - said the investigation into the incident is continuing.
Tchula Mayor Von Brown said this morning that the case is being investigated by both the Tchula Police Department and the Holmes County Sheriff's Department.
Holmes County Sheriff Willie March denied that his department is involved. "Tchula's handling it all on its own," he said.
