Greenwood police have arrested a second man in connection with shots fired into an occupied house over Labor Day weekend, while a third suspect remains at large.
Marlon Edwards, 23, of 712 Ave. F was charged Saturday night with seven counts of aggravated assault and shooting into a dwelling. He remained in jail this morning.
David Kinds, 30, of 507 Hope St. was arrested Sept. 1, the day of the shooting, on the same charges. He is out on bond.
The men were each charged seven times for aggravated assault because there were seven people in the house at 702 St. Charles St. when the shots were fired around 2 that morning, said Police Sgt. Lee Taylor.
The victims include two juveniles and Pamela Love, who occupies the residence.
A shotgun and handguns were apparently used in the shooting, Taylor said.
He said the dispute stemmed from an argument the three suspects allegedly had with the juveniles at Broad Street Park. "They had gotten into it with two of the guys who were inside house," Taylor said. Police expect to arrest a third suspect, he said.
