The public is invited to see Greenwood's newest school Sunday afternoon.
The Greenwood Middle School open house will begin at 2 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting. Les Daniels, the school superintendent, and members of the school board are scheduled to be on hand.
Then the building will be open to the general public for a few hours for anyone wanting a tour.
The school, which serves seventh- and eighth-graders, opened in August near Greenwood High School.
The middle school's principal, Robert Sims, said the supplies for the school have been coming in on schedule.
There has been some delay in the arrival of the office furniture, but the students' needs are the first priority, and the items they need are in place, Sims said.
The building is in good shape as well, he said.
